Doggp, the maker of dog-tracking software, said Thursday it is expanding its software to include GPS-equipped pet GPS trackers.
Doggp has built a software platform that tracks dogs on the street.
The company also said it is adding a feature that enables users to share location data, which will allow them to see the position of their pet, in the field and in the real world.
“We have built a new platform for dog trackers that is designed to be a more accurate companion to their owners, and to enable the use of real-time GPS location data for tracking,” the company said in a statement.
“In this context, the company is calling for pet GPS tracker owners to be able to share their location information with other people in real time and be able share that information with the dog-tracker service in real-estate listings.”
Doggps has also said the platform will allow it to track pets from afar, such as from a distance of 15 to 30 meters.
The company has been working with several local governments and organizations, including the Florida Keys and the National Park Service.
The dogs are able to follow GPS data from the tracker, which is set up so the dog can see a map of the surrounding area and can also track the dog’s location.
